15 year old Helena Coggan is being backed by publishers Hodder and Stoughton as a leading literary light for 2015 when she releases her debut book The Catalyst.

Due for publication in February, the novel tells the story of a teenage girl, Rose Elmsworth, living in a fraught magical world on the verge of war. Her work, said to be 'clever, imaginative and with jaw-dropping cliffhangers' is expected to be the next big young adult fantasy phenomenon. Londoner Coggan wrote the first draft of The Catalyst at just 13 and is currently working on the sequel while still at school, with publishers hoping to produce a series.
